Cleaning
The Club’s long-term Cleaning Assistant retired in January, and we are currently using contractors to fulfill the cleaning until the end of March. Obviously, this is quite expensive, so we are considering taking on a new person to undertake the cleaning role.
The job is six hours per week – two hours each on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Times are flexible, but work must be completed by 4pm at the latest. Predominantly cleaning the squash court building, including changing rooms, toilets and common areas, plus some work in the clubhouse.
Please contact me if you, or anyone you know, might be interested. Full pay details will be provided on application.

Tennis court floodlighting
Further to the completion of the floodlight conversion on courts 1 & 2 last weekend, I thought it would be a good opportunity to remind all members to switch off lights after use.
The Club provides floodlighting free of charge, which is not the case in most Clubs. The Club is not staffed all the time so we rely on members to switch off so that electricity is not wasted. This is particularly important last thing at night as there have been more and more instances recently of lights left on.
The lights will go off on timer at 10.30pm but, if not switched off, will automatically restart at 7am the following morning and be burning electricity until someone comes in to switch off!

Club Manager Hours
I will be available at the Club over the following hours between 12-18 February: Saturday from 0900-1200, Sunday from 0900-1500, Monday 1300-2100, Wednesday 1800-1930.
Remember that during these times you can obtain drinks & snacks from the bar, as well as balls & accessories, and hire the Slinger ball machine.
