As part of the club’s cyclical programme of court maintenance, the resurfacing of courts 1 & 2 will take place from 5th November. Contractors will be on site for approximately six weeks and the courts are expected to be back in action again around mid-December with repainting taking place in the early spring.
Court allocation changes
We are making temporary changes to court allocation to help ease the pressure on the remaining courts, all of which will continue to be available for play. A new court allocation table is on display in the club house foyer and on the fencing of courts 3 and 4. It is also available to view now in the members area of the website.
Additional club play for Improvers and Intermediates
We will be playing shorter sets during Wednesday evening Improver/Intermediate club play in order to keep waiting times to a minimum. There will also be a temporary additional club play on courts 6 and 7 on Saturday evenings from 17:30 to 19:30 from 8th November for the duration of the works. Nearly new balls for Saturday club play will be available for members to collect from the bar on the Wednesday evening prior to each session.
Access to the courts during the works
Members may experience some disruption, but please bear with us – it will be worth it in the end! Access to the courts via the main gate may be suspended at certain times of the day whilst the contractors are on site. During these times please use the double gates further along Springfield Road adjacent to courts 6 and 7. Access to the club house will be unaffected and the bar will be open as usual.
