Join us for Susan’s farewell on 23rd March from 7.30pm
The Board is sorry to report that, after nine month’s in post, Susan has resigned from her position as Club Manager.
Susan has achieved a great deal in her short time at the club and with her enthusiasm and hard work the club now has:
- Two clay courts which were ready for play ahead of schedule and in good time for Open Day;
- A great Head Coach in Toby;
- Increased income from 1-2-1 coaching;
- A community tennis programme which has started to deliver a profit and which we fully expect to go from strength to strength over the summer;
- A squash coaching programme for beginners;
- A bar which is open for longer with some new bar furniture and a new coffee machine;
- The facility to take credit and debit card payments;
- A refurbished foyer;
- In-house junior tennis camps which have the potential to generate a significant increase in revenue.
Susan will supervise her last club-play on 23rd March and all members are invited to join Susan to say farewell in the club bar from 7.30pm onwards.
The Board intends to recruit a new Club Manager as soon as possible and would welcome any expressions of interest, which should be addressed to the Chair, Peter Lewis, at peter.lewis@sltcc.co.uk. A pdf of the Club Manager’s job description can be downloaded here. All applications will be treated in the strictest confidence.
In the meantime, please bear with us if things are not quite the same as we seek to recruit and induct a replacement.
We extend our thanks to Susan for her efforts and achievements on behalf of the club and wish her all the best in her new post at The Parklangley Club.
