Kent Mixed 1 Final

This Sunday Mixed 1 are in the top division final against Beckenham 1 at home at 11am.  It is the first time we have had a major final like this on a Sunday morning at home.  The reason why it needs to be played in the morning is that Mixed 2 have also made it to the division 2 final, and this final is also at home, which is scheduled for 2:30pm.  With the Mixed 1 final being played during club morning, we hope that lots of you will be there to support our team of Ben Walton, Kiran Irshad, Brett Stephens and Elizabeth Kucerova.  The standard will be the best in Kent, so please come down to support the team. The final will be played on courts 1 & 2.  Club morning goes ahead on remaining courts.

By winning division 2, Mixed 2 have been promoted to division 1 to join Mixed 1, so we have two teams in the top division.  Similarly, Men’s 1 and Men’s 2 won their divisions and are also in finals.

Men’s 1 played Bromley Wendover 1 in last Sunday’s final.  They were unable to win but played extremely well!  Men’s 2 won division 2 and will play Sundridge Park 1 away this coming Saturday at 11am.  They are already promoted to division 1, so again we have two teams in the top division in both summer and winter for the coming year.
