Haven and Rookstone Re-development Community meeting at 11am Saturday 22 November at Sydenham Tennis Club

The Haven and Rookstone site is a large area of derelict land bordered by Springfield Road, Lawrie Park Crescent and Crystal Palace Park Road. It was the site of the former Salvation Army’s Rookstone Care Home and former Haven Children’s Home – now both unused.

In April 2014, the London Borough of Bromley planning committee turned down an application for the building of 115 homes on this site.

A new application has now been submitted to Bromley by the developer for 46 residential units on this site comprising 27 x 4 bedroom houses, 7 x 1 bedroom flats, 6 x 2 bedroom flats and 6 x 3 bedroom flats, together with 71 car parking spaces and  cycle parking with vehicular access to Springfield Road.
