Let’s get Sunday club play going again!
The Tennis Committee has been looking at ways to re-invigorate Sunday afternoon improver club play which in recent months has seen a fall in attendance.

Introducing facilitated club play
Starting from Sunday, 13th September and for the following six weeks, Gary and Christine have volunteered to facilitate the sessions between 1pm and 2.30 pm, so that members can be sure that club play will be running and can come along confident that they will be able to get a game.

For the longer term we are exploring other options including the feasibility of setting up a roster of members who would be willing to facilitate the session on a more permanent basis.  If you think you may be able to help once every few weeks, then please contact us at info@sltcc.co.uk

Starting an improver WhatsApp group
We are also looking at setting up a WhatsApp group for improver members.  A WhatsApp group would make it easier for members to contact one another to find out who is coming to play on Sunday afternoons – or at any other time – and to arrange singles and doubles games or even just a hit.

For those not familiar with WhatsApp it’s a free-to-download instant messaging app for smart phones which uses the internet to send, among other things, text messages.  It has a group chat feature which allows messages to be exchanged amongst the whole group.  More information about WhatsApp can be found here.  If you would be interested in joining a WhatsApp group, please email us at info@sltcc.co.uk.
