Tennis members are warmly invited to attend a meeting on Thursday, 22nd September at 7.30pm (half-an-hour prior to the start of the club AGM) to discuss plans for the resurfacing of courts 6 & 7 next year.
The Tennis Committee will be making a short presentation supporting a recommendation to resurface the two courts with artificial clay and canvassing members’ views. If you have an opinion please come along and take part in the discussion.

The committee recently conducted a survey of members to find out what they thought of the existing clay courts and the results have been taken into account when formulating the committee’s recommendation.  A brief summary of the results is provided below and a more detailed presentation will be available at the meeting.

Survey summary
283 tennis members were sent the clay court survey and 93 completed surveys were received (33%). Of those who responded: 78% rated their playing experience on clay as either excellent or good. 44% of respondents said clay was their preferred playing surface and a further 20% didn’t have a preference. 29% preferred tarmacadam and only 4.3% preferred porous acrylic (the current surface on courts 6 & 7).

If you are unable to attend the meeting you may send your views to Gary Lord, committee chair, at info@sltcc.co.uk.
