Volunteer of the year 2016
Congratulations go to Anthony Marien who was voted ‘Volunteer of the Year 2016’ by our panel of judges. In 2016, as a volunteer working closely with the Membership Secretary and Tennis Committee, Anthony carried out a significantly larger number of assessments for tennis members, meeting and greeting new members, advising on categories of play, and how to make the most of club membership and coaching opportunities.
New Club President and Vice President
Barbara Seabrook and Jeff Richards were appointed Club President and Vice President respectively at the club’s AGM in September. Barbara has a distinguished record of volunteering especially serving a four-year term as Director and Membership Secretary during which she carried out many significant improvements in membership systems management. Jeff has has a long career serving the club as chair of the Tennis Committee and match secretary. He is well on track to set a new club record by winning the most club tournament titles and continues to provide back bone to our inter-club teams.
