The new Junior Fast4 Tennis league is starting very soon. Don’t miss the chance to take part – sign up by 3rd February!
The leagues are open to all junior members and matches can be played, at least for the first league, during Wednesday and Saturday club play.
So if you are interested in playing competitive singles with players of a similar standard, then read on.
What is Fast4 Tennis?
Fast4 Tennis is a simple, exciting way of speeding up a conventional tennis match. The fundamentals of tennis remain the same, but there are four rules that ensure matches are fast, competitive, exciting and can be completed in a reasonable period of time.
The rules
- The first to four games wins! It doesn’t matter how you get there, just make sure you do before your opponent does!
- Tie breaker at 3 games all. At 3 games all a tiebreak is played to 5 points. A deciding point will be played at 4 points all.
- No advantage scoring. If the score reaches deuce, it’s a sudden death point. The receiver choses which side to take the serve on.
- Play lets. If the serve clips the net and lands in the service box, there’s no let and the ball is in play.
