Tennis etiquette – Court booking & usage
1. Courts are very busy at the moment, so just a reminder to cancel any courts you no longer require as soon as possible. I’ve had quite a few complaints recently about courts booked on the system and then not being used. We want to ensure fair access to courts for all members, and have the courts used as fully as possible, especially in peak periods. We do not want to get to the stage of suspending members booking rights!
2. Also, please remember that, although members have an allowance of three booking slots per week, we request that only two of these are booked Monday to Friday after 6pm. Again, this is to allow fair access to courts in peak periods.
3. When you leave the court, please ensure that you close the court gates. We have a lot of wildlife around, in particular foxes, that can damage the court surfaces.
4. Finally, remember to brush the clay courts after use to redistribute the clay, using a spiral motion from the outside of the court – there is signage on each gate to demonstrate the way to do this. Brushing side to side removes clay from the playing area. However, if the court is frosty or wet, please don’t drag as there is no benefit. New drag mats are on order. And if you use the line brushes, please make sure that they are hung on the fence clear of the ground – if left on the floor it damages the brush.

Club Manager Hours
I will be available at the Club over the following hours between 1 – 7 October: Saturday from 0900-1500, Sunday 0900-1500, Monday 0900-1500, Wednesday 0900-1200, and Friday 0900-1500. During these times you can obtain drinks & snacks from the bar, as well as balls & accessories, and hire the Slinger ball machine.
The bar will be closed this week Tuesday to Thursday.
