Squash Courts
A reminder that the final stage of refurbishment is planned to start on Monday 25 September. Both floors are being relaid, the front wall of court 2 replastered, and repairs/repainting of the walls where required.
The courts will be closed for up to a week. The changing rooms and floodlighting controls will still be accessible, but please be aware that there may be some disruption in the building during the works.
Tennis club play balls
There have been issues over some time now with club play balls going missing and not being returned after play. We provide new, or nearly new balls, for every club play session. This is a great benefit to members, but also a significant cost to the Club.
These balls are reused for the next club play session, other activities, or sent for recycling, so do not assume that these balls are free to take or we may need to consider what balls we provide in the future.
Please do not throw away tubes at the beginning of the session and keep on court. If you are the last group to play on a court, it is your responsibility to collect the balls and return to the clubhouse bar in the tube, or return to the squash court building if no staff are on site.
Please note that club play balls will now be indelibly marked for identification to help ensure return.
